Utilitarian-inspired pieces such as oversize trench coats, shirts with pockets, classic menswear suits and minimalistic leather pieces were the first thing that came to the collection, and when we began working on The Journey those started our trail of thoughts. Together with the perspective of living in unprecedented times and the changes around the world that have made us stop and reevaluate.” Creative director Sanne Sehested.
Inspired by being on a journey, the Gestuz Spring Summer 2021 collection offers a split focus between practicality and chicness. Soft, earthy tones and utilitarian styles join forces with feminine tops and wearable summer dresses. The Gestuz woman is on a journey together with the rest of society; a journey through a period of time where change is not only everywhere, but desperately needed. And she excepts her pieces to embrace the path she is on.
Suits and outerwear inspired by menswear and soft basic pieces are mixed with pastel coloured shirts and chunky knitwear. The silhouettes are as always a bit quirky with an edgy feel; strong shoulders, cinched waists, oversized fits and a modern take on what sexy can be.
